Description
This Maple Brown Sugar Overnight Oats recipe is a delicious and easy make-ahead breakfast featuring creamy oats soaked overnight in milk with sweet vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pure maple syrup. Topped with toasted roasted pecans for a crunchy finish, it’s perfect for a quick, nutritious, and flavorful morning meal.
Ingredients
Overnight Oats Base
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (gluten-free)
- 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- 2 cups milk (regular or plant-based)
Sweetener Mix
- 3 Tbsp packed brown sugar
- ¾ tsp cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
Topping
- ¼ cup roasted pecans (coarsely chopped)
Instructions
- Combine Oats and Milk. Divide the oats, milk, and vanilla bean paste evenly into four 8-oz mason jars—each should have ½ cup oats, ½ cup milk, and ¼ teaspoon vanilla. Stir the ingredients in each jar thoroughly to ensure even distribution and to start the soaking process.
- Top with Sweetener. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and maple syrup until well combined. Pour an equal quarter of this sweetener mixture over the oats in each jar. Seal the jars and refrigerate them for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the oats to soften and absorb the flavors.
- Toast Pecans and Serve. Just before serving, preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast them for 5 to 7 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Once toasted, sprinkle the pecans evenly over each jar of oats. Add extra cinnamon or maple syrup if desired, then enjoy your creamy, sweet, and crunchy overnight oats.
