Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 large red apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced

Liquids

  • ¼ cup dairy free milk (coconut milk or almond milk recommended)

Sweeteners and Spices

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Extras

  • 4-5 ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple: Peel the apple using a knife or peeler. Stand the apple on its base and cut straight down along the core on all four sides to remove the core. Discard the core and chop the apple pieces into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Add ingredients to blender: Place the chopped apple chunks, frozen banana slices, dairy-free milk, honey or maple syrup, and cinnamon into a blender.
  3. Blend the mixture: Blend on high speed until all ingredients are well combined and smooth, scraping down the sides of the blender if needed.
  4. Add ice and blend again: Add 4-5 ice cubes to the blender and continue blending until the smoothie is creamy and chilled.
  5. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor.

  • Use frozen banana slices for a thicker and colder smoothie.
