Description

This Whipped Feta Dip with Garlic Honey is a creamy and flavorful appetizer combining smooth whipped feta and cream cheese with a spicy, aromatic garlic honey drizzle. Topped with crunchy pistachios and fresh parsley, it makes a perfect party dip served alongside toasted bread or crackers.

Ingredients

Whipped Feta Dip

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, room temperature
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Garlic Honey Topping

  • 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic: Heat a small saucepan over medium heat and add a small amount of olive oil or spray with cooking oil. Add the finely minced garlic and sauté for 2 minutes, stirring gently to soften it without browning.
  2. Add Red Pepper Flakes & Honey: Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook with the garlic for about 30 seconds to release their aroma. Add the honey and stir together, then immediately remove the pan from heat before the honey begins to bubble.
  3. Prepare Whipped Feta: In a food processor, combine the olive oil, room temperature feta cheese, cream cheese, and fresh lemon juice. Blend until smooth, about 1 minute, creating a creamy dip base.
  4. Assemble the Dip: Transfer the whipped feta mixture to a serving platter and create indentations in the center to hold the garlic honey.
  5. Finish & Garnish: Slowly drizzle the cooled garlic honey over the whipped feta. Sprinkle chopped pistachios and fresh parsley evenly over the top. Serve immediately with toasted bread or crackers.

Notes

  • Ensure garlic doesn’t brown when sautéing to avoid bitterness.
  • Use room temperature cheeses for easier blending.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to taste depending on your preferred spice level.
  • Can be prepared a few hours in advance; keep refrigerated and bring to room temperature before serving.
  • Serve with a variety of crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetable sticks.
