Description

This quick and easy Smoked Cheese Dip blends smoked cheddar and gouda with sour cream for a rich, smoky, and creamy appetizer. Perfect as a dip for crackers or veggies, or as a unique spread for sandwiches, burgers, or pizza.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces smoked cheddar cheese
  • 8 ounces smoked gouda cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 12 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. Set up a large food processor. Cut the smoked cheddar and gouda into chunks and place them in the processor.
  2. Pulse until the cheese is broken down into fine crumbs.
  3. Add sour cream, 1 tablespoon of sugar, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper.
  4. Purée until the dip is completely smooth.
  5. Taste and add another tablespoon of sugar if desired, then blend again briefly.
  6. Scoop the dip into a serving bowl and serve with bread, crackers, or veggies. Refrigerate if not serving immediately.
