Description

This Slow Cooker Turkey Breast is a succulent and easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for holidays or any special meal. The turkey is seasoned with flavorful herbs and spices and slow-cooked until tender and juicy. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete, hassle-free dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 (5 to 7 lb) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Turkey Breast: Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub it all over with olive oil or melted butter.
  2. Season the Turkey: In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and dried thyme or rosemary. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the turkey.
  3. Set Up the Slow Cooker: Pour the broth into the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the turkey breast in the slow cooker, skin-side up if using a bone-in cut.
  4. Cook the Turkey: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Optional – Broil for Crispy Skin: For crispy skin, transfer the turkey to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let the turkey rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • You can use either bone-in or boneless turkey breast for this recipe.
  • If you’d like crispy skin, broil the turkey after slow cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
