These Rotel Spiced Turkey Sausage & Cream Cheese Bites are packed with savory turkey sausage, creamy cheese, and a touch of spice, making them the perfect appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 lb turkey sausage
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, drained
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 ½ cups baking mix (Bisquick or similar)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the turkey sausage, cream cheese, Rotel tomatoes, cheddar cheese, baking mix, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well until everything is fully combined.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the sausage balls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or snack!
Notes
- If you prefer a milder version, you can skip the cayenne pepper or use a milder salsa instead of Rotel.
- These bites can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking for a quicker prep.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a little extra cheddar on top before baking.
