Description

These indulgent Peanut Butter Cup French Toast Rolls combine the creamy, gooey goodness of peanut butter cups with crispy, cinnamon-sugar-coated French toast. Perfect for breakfast or dessert, serve them with caramel or peanut butter drizzle for an extra touch of decadence!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices soft white sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 8 mini peanut butter cups (or chopped regular-sized ones)
  • Peanut butter (about 1–2 tablespoons, depending on preference)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter, for frying
  • Optional: caramel sauce or melted peanut butter, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Flatten the Bread: Flatten each slice of bread using a rolling pin until thin and pliable.
  2. Spread Peanut Butter: Spread a thin layer of peanut butter over each slice of bread.
  3. Add Peanut Butter Cup: Place one mini peanut butter cup (or a chopped regular-sized one) at the edge of each slice and roll tightly into a log.
  4. Prepare Egg Mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  5. Make Cinnamon Sugar: In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
  6. Fry the Rolls: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Dip each roll quickly in the egg mixture, coating all sides (don’t soak too long to avoid sogginess).
  7. Cook the Rolls: Place the rolls seam-side down in the skillet and fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  8. Coat in Cinnamon Sugar: Immediately roll each hot roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
  9. Serve: Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce or melted peanut butter, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra peanut butter flavor, you can add more peanut butter inside the rolls or use chopped peanut butter cups.
  • If you don’t have mini peanut butter cups, you can chop regular-sized peanut butter cups into smaller pieces.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in a skillet for a few minutes.
