Oven Baked Boneless Beef Ribs are juicy, fork-tender country-style ribs seasoned with a bold homemade spice rub and finished with your favorite BBQ sauce. A comforting, hands-off dinner that’s packed with smoky, savory flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 4 pounds boneless country-style ribs
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and cumin until well combined.
- Place the ribs in a 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
- Pour 3 tablespoons of water into the bottom of the dish. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2 1/2 hours.
- Remove the foil and brush the ribs with BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, or until fork-tender.
- If desired, turn the broiler on high for the last 4–5 minutes to caramelize the BBQ sauce on top. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Make sure the ribs are arranged in a single layer for even cooking.
- Use your favorite store-bought or homemade BBQ sauce for best flavor.
- The broiling step adds a caramelized finish, but is optional.
- For extra tender ribs, allow them to rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
