Description

These No Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars are a simple, delicious, and healthy snack or breakfast option made with just four ingredients. Combining creamy peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, rolled oats, and dark chocolate chips, these bars come together quickly without any baking required. They’re perfect for a quick energy boost or a sweet treat that’s both satisfying and nutritious.

Ingredients

Base Mixture

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 3/4 cups rolled oats

Add-ins

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt Peanut Butter and Honey: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup creamy peanut butter and 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup. Heat in 20-second increments, stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Combine with Oats: Add 2 3/4 cups rolled oats to the melted peanut butter and honey mixture. Use a spatula to mix thoroughly until oats are evenly coated and the mixture is well combined.
  3. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, mixing until they are evenly distributed throughout the oat mixture.
  4. Press into Pan: Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly spray with non-stick spray. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press it down firmly using your hands or a spatula to create an even layer.
  5. Chill to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for 30 to 60 minutes until the bars are fully set and firm to the touch.
  6. Slice and Serve: Remove from the fridge, lift the parchment paper to take out the set mixture, and cut into 16 to 20 bars. Enjoy immediately or store for later.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep the bars stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain their firmness and freshness. They can last up to 1 week.
  • Serving Temperature: These bars are great when served cold, at room temperature, or warmed slightly for a softer texture.
  • Freezing: Freeze individual bars or the entire batch in a freezer-safe container or bag. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving for best texture.
