Description
This refreshing Ninja Creami Raspberry Sorbet recipe transforms frozen raspberries into a smooth, creamy treat using light agave syrup for natural sweetness. The process involves gently cooking the berries, straining out the seeds, freezing, and processing in the Ninja Creami for perfect texture — ideal for a single serving of homemade sorbet with minimal fuss.
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 500g frozen raspberries
- 60g water
- 125g light agave syrup
Instructions
- Cook the raspberries: Combine the frozen raspberries and water in a medium saucepan over low-medium heat. Cook until the raspberries are completely softened, mashing them as you stir to break down the fruit.
- Strain the mixture: Place a fine mesh strainer over a medium-sized bowl. Gently stir and push the raspberry juice and liquids through the sieve using a spoon. This process should take about 15 minutes of active time, removing the seeds and leaving behind approximately 380g of raspberry puree.
- Prepare the puree: Pour the strained raspberry puree into the 470ml Ninja Creami tub. Add the light agave syrup and stir well to combine. If the mixture exceeds the tub’s fill line, remove some until it fits properly.
- Freeze the mixture: Place the tub (with the lid off) in the freezer for 16 to 24 hours until the mixture is completely frozen. The freezing time depends on your freezer’s temperature.
- Process in the Ninja Creami: Using the sorbet function, process the frozen mixture once, then process it a second time on the sorbet setting to achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
- Store leftovers: Keep any remaining sorbet in the freezer with the lid on. Before serving again, allow it to thaw slightly for optimal texture.
Notes
- Straining the raspberry mixture thoroughly ensures a smooth sorbet by removing the seeds.
- The light agave syrup adds natural sweetness without overpowering the tart raspberries.
- Processing the sorbet twice in the Ninja Creami creates a creamier texture.
- Make sure not to overfill the Ninja Creami tub to avoid processing issues.
- The sorbet should be slightly thawed before serving for the best texture.
