Ingredients
White Chocolate Mixture
- ¼ cup white chocolate chips
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
Matcha Mixture
- 2 teaspoons AIYA cooking grade matcha
- 1 cup hot water
Instructions
- Melt White Chocolate: In a small saucepan, combine the white chocolate chips with ½ cup of the unsweetened almond milk. Heat gently over low-medium heat, stirring constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Remaining Almond Milk: Pour in the remaining 1½ cups of almond milk into the melted chocolate mixture, stirring well. Set this mixture aside on low heat or keep warm.
- Prepare Matcha: Sift the 2 teaspoons of AIYA cooking grade matcha into 1 cup of hot water to avoid lumps. Using a bamboo whisk or a small regular whisk, vigorously whisk the matcha until it becomes smooth and frothy.
- Combine and Serve: Stir the frothy matcha into the white chocolate and almond milk mixture until fully blended. Pour the hot chocolate evenly into 2 mugs and serve immediately for a warm, comforting drink.
Notes
- Use high-quality, cooking-grade matcha for the best flavor and vibrant green color.
- For a creamier texture, substitute almond milk with oat milk or regular dairy milk if preferred.
- Adjust sweetness by adding a teaspoon of sweetener like honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Whisking matcha properly ensures no clumps and a smooth, frothy finish.
