Enjoy a refreshing and sweet Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte, a perfect Starbucks copycat recipe. This easy-to-make iced coffee drink features a homemade dolce syrup with warm cinnamon and brown sugar, blended with espresso and milk, ideal for a cool morning or summer delight.
Ingredients
Dolce Syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup water
Coffee
- 2 oz espresso or 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or cold brew
- 1/4 cup milk of choice
- Ice (enough to fill one tall glass)
- 1-2 tablespoons dolce syrup (from homemade syrup above)
Instructions
- Make the Dolce Syrup: In a small pot, whisk together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until combined. Stir in the water and place the pot over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sugar fully dissolves into a syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool completely before using.
- Prepare the Coffee: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the cooled dolce syrup to the glass, adjusting the sweetness to your preference. Pour the milk over the ice and syrup.
- Assemble the Latte: Pour 2 ounces of freshly brewed espresso, strong brewed coffee, or cold brew over the milk and ice mixture. Stir gently to combine all the flavors.
- Serve and Enjoy: Your iced cinnamon dolce latte is ready to be enjoyed as a cooling, sweet, and flavorful beverage at any time of the day.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of dolce syrup to control the sweetness of your latte.
- Use any milk of choice, including dairy or plant-based alternatives like almond, oat, or soy milk.
- Espresso provides the strongest coffee flavor, but strong brewed coffee or cold brew are great alternatives.
- Prepare the dolce syrup in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Add whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for an extra special touch.
