Ingredients
- 1 cup beef broth
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup white onion, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into thin slices
- 3 cups broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, onion, and red bell pepper. Cook until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the prepared sauce and add broccoli. Stir well and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 4–5 minutes, until broccoli is tender and sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
