Ingredients
- 4 (6-8 ounce) Filet Mignon Steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional)
- 2 tbsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp fresh ground pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your gas grill to 450°F or prepare a charcoal grill.
- Season the filet mignon steaks generously with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper on both sides.
- Place the steaks on the grill and close the lid. Grill for 4-5 minutes until a crust has formed and golden brown.
- Flip the steaks and close the lid. Continue grilling for another 4-5 minutes, or until the desired doneness is reached (125°F for medium-rare).
- Transfer the steaks to a platter and cover with foil.
- Allow the steaks to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- If desired, you can brush the steaks with olive oil before grilling to enhance the crust.
- For different doneness, adjust the grilling time: 130°F for medium, 135°F for medium-well.
- Resting the steaks after grilling ensures they remain juicy and tender.
