This easy and delicious meal features seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, fresh veggies, and tangy condiments all in one handheld wrap, perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
- Pepper and salt to taste
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Shredded cheddar cheese (about 1 cup)
- Lettuce (as desired)
- Tomato slices (4-8 slices)
- Sliced red onion (as desired)
- Mustard (to taste)
Instructions
- Cook the Beef: Brown and crumble the ground beef in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine the flavors, then reduce heat to low and let the mixture heat through for about 5 minutes.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas and sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese down the center of each. Evenly divide the cooked beef mixture on top of the cheese. Drizzle mustard and additional ketchup if desired over the beef, then add a couple of tomato slices to each wrap. Roll up the tortillas burrito-style, folding the sides inwards as you roll.
- Grill the Wraps: Preheat an indoor or outdoor grill. Place two wraps at a time onto the grill and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until grill marks form and the tortillas turn golden brown and crispy.
- Add Fresh Toppings and Serve: Carefully remove the wraps from the grill and place them on a plate. Gently unravel each wrap and add desired fresh lettuce and sliced red onion. Re-roll the wraps tightly, then cut each diagonally down the center. Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful grilled cheeseburger wraps!
Notes
- You can customize fillings by adding pickles, avocado, or your favorite burger toppings.
- Use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option.
- These wraps can also be cooked in a panini press or on a stovetop griddle if a grill is unavailable.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more ketchup or mustard as preferred.
- Make sure to keep the heat moderate on the grill to avoid burning the tortillas before the cheese melts.
