Description
A creamy and flavorful garlic parmesan sauce, this recipe is a copycat of the famous Buffalo Wild Wings sauce. Perfect for pasta, pizza, or as a dipping sauce, it’s a versatile addition to many dishes.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Whisk in the flour to form a paste, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Slowly pour in the broth, whisking constantly to ensure the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Bring the sauce to a low simmer over medium heat and cook for about 2 minutes, or until it thickens.
- Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce. Continue whisking until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as needed.
- Serve over pasta, on pizza, or as a dipping sauce for your favorite appetizers.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, reduce the amount of broth or simmer the sauce longer.
- If you prefer a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while cooking the garlic.
- This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
