Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- Apple Filling:
- 2½ pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (about 6 to 7 cups)

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (or all-purpose flour)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8- or 9-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Prepare the Crumble Topping: In a bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add the melted butter and stir with a fork until crumbly.
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, toss the apples with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon until well coated.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
- Let cool for 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.
