Description

Indulge in these Big Mac-inspired cheeseburger bites, filled with savory beef, melted American cheese, onions, and pickles, all wrapped in soft, golden dough with a sesame crust. Perfect for parties, game days, or a fun snack, these bites are a flavorful take on a classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅓ cup finely minced or grated white onion
  • ⅓ cup chopped dill pickles, finely chopped
  • ½ pound block of American cheese
  • 1 package of 24 frozen dinner rolls
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Thaw the dinner rolls according to package instructions.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion powder, garlic salt, salt, pepper, minced onion, and chopped dill pickles.
  4. Divide the beef mixture into 24 sections. Slice the cheese into 24 small chunks (about ½ inch square). Form a flat circle with each beef section, place a cheese chunk in the center, and roll the beef around the cheese to form a ball.
  5. In a large skillet, brown the meatballs on each side briefly (don’t cook through, just sear to seal the cheese inside).
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each thawed dough ball into a circle slightly larger than the meatball. Place the meatball in the center of each dough circle, wrap the dough around it, and pinch the bottom to seal.
  7. Place each stuffed dough ball on the prepared sheet pan. Brush the tops and sides of the bites with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately with Big Mac special sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a more flavorful kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce or a sprinkle of cayenne to the beef mixture.
  • These bites are best served warm but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
