Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups chopped apples, peeled and cored

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden and set. Allow to cool before slicing.
